Dear Mr Nowak,
I am writing with reference to the job offer (a reporter for a teenager radio programme) advertised in Gazeta Wyborcza of 12 June 2001. I would like to present you my application.
I am presently a student at [tu wpisz nazwę swojej szkoły]. I found your offer searching for a summer job and it seems form an ideal way of widening my interests in journalism and acquiring some more experience in this field.
I am an active, outgoing person, responsible and willing to work. I have taken up different summer jobs since 1988 always getting positive recommendations from my employers. I already have some journalistic experience (a journalist and reporter for the school newspaper Bryk). Also I worked selling newspapers at a street stall, which gave me a chance to observe the readers’ direct reactions to the papers’ from and content. I consider my age and wide interests (music, film, sports) an extra advantage – I know the programme’s audience interests and needs and can advise on those.
I am sure work in a fully professional and highly regarded radio station as Radio M is I hope to learn more of high-level reporting. It would be for me an exceptional opportunity to co-operate with experienced professionals.
My resume is enclosed for your review and consideration. I will telephone you during the week of June 15-th to discuss the possibility of setting up an interview. I will be available for full-time from June 25, 2000 through August 21, 2000.
